A launchpad where the first block isn't for bots.
ballast is a token launchpad on GIWA, the Ethereum L2 built by Upbit.
Launching
Pick an image, a name and a symbol. The token is created with a fixed supply of 1,000,000,000. All of it goes to the launchpad contract; nobody, including you, gets tokens without buying them. You can make the first buy in the same transaction.
The bonding curve
800M tokens are sold on a bonding curve that always quotes a price and always buys back. The price rises as tokens are bought and falls as they are sold, so the first buyers pay less and a sell always gets you exactly what the curve says.
Graduation
When the curve has sold its last token it holds 4 ETH. In the same transaction, that ETH and the 200M reserved tokens open a Uniswap v4 pool at exactly the curve’s final price, so there is no jump and no waiting for a migration. The pool’s liquidity is locked in the launchpad contract forever.
Snipe tax
Anyone can buy from the first second, but for the first 60 seconds wallets without a Dojang Verified Address (Upbit's on-chain KYC attestation on GIWA) pay a snipe tax on top of the fee. The creator picks where it starts, up to 50% or off, and it falls in a straight line to zero. Verified wallets pay only the normal fee. The tax is split like the fee: creator, BALLAST buyback, treasury. How to get verified
The creator can buy in the launch transaction itself, so the first tokens can't be sniped from them either.
Fees to holders
A creator can send its 0.7% share of every trade to the token's holders instead of itself, at launch or any time later. Each holder earns in proportion to its balance and claims the ETH whenever it likes; tokens on the curve, in the Uniswap pool or burned earn nothing. Switching back stops new fees, never what holders already earned.
Fees
Every trade pays 1% on the ETH side, on the curve and on Uniswap after graduation: 0.7% goes to the token’s creator, 0.15% buys back BALLAST and burns it, and 0.15% goes to the platform treasury. Creators claim their share any time from the token page and can hand the role to another address. Launching costs 0.0005 ETH.
BALLAST, the platform token
BALLAST was the first token launched here, on the same curve and the same rules as every other token: no presale, no private round. On top of the 1,000,000,000 launched on the curve, 111,111,111 (10% of the total) belong to the team and vest linearly over 12 months in a contract nobody can speed up.
0.15% of all launchpad volume buys BALLAST back and sends it to the dead address, so the supply shrinks as the launchpad grows. Anyone can trigger the buyback; each call is capped so no single buy moves the price much.
